Look what we just took in today !

Check out our facebook page for some recent Hot Rods getting pulled out of their garages.
Customers always wait until it the weather cools down. The cars sit through the summer and usually need repairs before they can cruise and enjoy the weather.
Then they have to hurry up and wait, like a kid on Christmas morning, before then can go out and Play.
WE took in a Sweet Nova too............

The Cobra is running bad, lost a lot of power. The car was built & tuned up North [ Damn Yankees ] and when they brought down here, our weather is so different
that the cars don't run correctly. Part of the problem is, the computer has a damaged component on the Board. Gonna rebuild the it then
Do some custom tuning to it.
This is where I LOVE my Job. I get to go "Drive it like I stole it" and get it tuned up and ready to do some road racing.
The customer is in Russia for 3 Weeks, and wants it "RIGHT" for when he gets back.

This one, The customer wasn't happy with the builder. From what I understand they had some "WORDS" over the quality of work done and extended length
    of time it was taking.

The car is beautiful, However, the more we take apart, the more awfully embarrassing work we are uncovering.
Believe me when I tell you, Its pretty bad. Its gonna need a lot of disassembly and repair to correct some of this crap. !

God I love the Cobra's! They are dead set one of the sexiest cars ever. Not sure what they're worth over here, but the kit car replicas were fetching upwards of 50k 4 years ago back home.

Speaking of Kit cars.............. This is at our Port Allen Store.

Its getting the New 5.0 Mustang drivetrain in it. [ $10k just for the motor and components ]

This one will probably hit $65k --- THEN is off to get Paint. So He'll probaly have ~ $70 to ~$75 in it.........

With the 5.0 in it. its goooonna FLY.
I'm banking the hardest part is gonna be tuning the the 6 spd auto tranny.

the car is obviously Light Weight, and will most likely spin the tires pretty easily, therefore torque management and tranny gear
Shift hunting is gonna be tricky. Trying to work in a controlled "hazing tire spin" may get fun.
I don't want it to Blow through the gears on the rev limiter. But then again, You "GOT TO" have a controlled amount of "Skirt"
coming out the Back in a car like this....... Can I get an Amen !

While I am the farthest thing from a Ford fan, I can still recognize a badass car when I see one. And an original Shelby Cobra qualifies. ;) Friend of mine had an original 427 Cobra as well as one of the rare 289 Daytona Coupes. Amazing works of automotive art.

DUDE,,,,,,,,,,,,, Now that is some crazy stuff. I need to find the Video of us when we took a GM air pump and used it to function as a supercharger for a honda 10hp on a Go-Kart.

It made 12 psi of boost. Pretty much put scars on EVERYONE that drove it. Made 1 guy throw up.................
