I'm applying for my CCW next month & I'm getting my ducks in a row. I just called the clerk of court for my parish where I was arrested for a DWI 10+ years ago. Nothing from them shows up under my name for an arrest, conviction, expungement, etc... So how do I go about answering question 7, 8 , & 9 on page 4 of the application if there's know record of it? I don't want to put any false information, but don't want to be denied of hiding anything either.

Did you go to the clerk of court in the parish you were arrested? There are some CCW instructors on the site that will be along to help you. I personally would list it and if I remember correctly they give you an area to explain if you have been convicted of something.

In my opinion, you would be better putting it out there than being caught with it and not reporting it.

With that being said I've never had anything more than a speeding ticket so I have no idea.

Get a letter from clerk of court stating no records exist.

I'm going to physically go down there later in the week just to make sure. I like Nolacops idea of getting an official letter from the saying no record exist.
