Changing out Ruger MkIII 22/45 rear fixed sight to adjustable sight

Which way do you knock out the rear fix sight to replace it w/ an adjustable rear sight? And the best way to do it?

Doesn't matter on this pistol. Most others are from left to right looking from the rear. Do you have an adjustable sight yet?

Bought a like-new one on GunBroker.com.

Now the question is...do I need a new front sight since I will be changing the rear one?
