Just picked this up about a week ago. I havent shot it yet (yeah yeah I work at a shooting range and i havent fired it yet!) Ive been busy. But back on topic. This is a blue label glock (im not le or a first responder, but I am eligible because im a criminal justice major in school), apparently it was made special order for an agency over seas. It is a 3rd gen mid size 40. It has the ported barrel in combination witn the fishgill shaped slide serrations that accompany the rough texture frame. While the ported "c" models are more common and the rtf models are much less common I would like to venture out and say this is a rare plastic pistol due to the unique combination of features. :) Also, for some reason the trigger feels a bit lighter and more crisp compared to the rest of the new glocks we have at work. Any one wonder how this could be? 5.5 lb factory trigger according to the box. Dunno? still waiting on shooting it to see how she runs. Im sure itll be glockish, until I do a trigger mod or 2. I plan on putting ameriglo night sites on her, the ones with the big red dot up front and a single tritium lamp in the rear. I think the only other features that would make this glock more exclusive is if it was chambered in 10mm and had a od frame in addition to what it already retains. Let me know what yall think about my fancy schmancy glock, done braggin for now :D

What do yall have in your glocks for the lighest/smoothest/ most desireable glock trigger? I have a ghost 3.5 w glockworx springs and a polish job in my 27. Was thinking about going all glockworx this round. Give me input.

Vanek, Glocktriggers and Glockworx all make great trigger kits for Glocks. It depends on what you are looking for.

The Blue Label tells me it was made for Homeland Security Sales in the USA and not an overseas special order. The RTF2 with gills is fairly common but not as common as the traditional slide cuts.. Not many Glocks are sold with a compensated barrel and even fewer will be RTF2 with gills. You will know why if you ever do any close quarter shooting from extreme retention.

Does that mean only LEO and such can "own" a blue label gun?

The list is quite long. LEO, Firemen, Judges, Prosecutors, Airline Pilots, Criminal Justice students, Glock Armorers, GSSF members, etc, etc, etc can purchase one new . Anyone can own a Blue Label gun, everyone can not purchase one new and only the label on the box is different.

Been contemplating a G23 for a while and I had a G23c for a short minute but I don't know if I want another compensated model. My reason for wanting a G23 is so I can get a 357sig and 9mm barrel for it and have 3 guns in one.....why not, right? It won't replace my 9mm Glocks that I already own,it'll just be an option I'll have available. Question is,if I do this, would a compensated model give me any advantages to the non compensated model in terms of barrel/caliber switching or does it even matter?

You can install the same non compensated barrels in a c model as a non c model.

I like wet tshirts, I may have to put my woman in charge of that experiment! I may kill the lights on the range tonight and see what type of report I get from the ports. I heard it was bad before I bought it, but what the hey why not? Its just one more flavor in the safe!

That's a pretty rare Glock. I hate to bring this up but it isn't as rare as my 1911 that General Pershing misplaced in Germany, with grips made from George Washington's chestnut tree.
