I've long wanted a large loop .357 lever action rifle. My ideal rifle would be a stainless or similar receiver, round threaded barrel, wood furniture and large loop. I've not found that available from anyone in factory form. While i could spend the money and get that exact setup, it is more than i want to invest in something that would be mostly a fun gun. When the "tactical" lever actions came out i was not a fan. However they do offer several models with large loop and threaded barrel. While they don't check the box's on the polished receiver and wood furniture i have grown to like the look. While looking at the different models i ran across the citadel levtac 92 and both from the price point and features looks like a good option. All of the reviews I've seen are positive and they are based on the model 92 action. Looking for some further input from the local community who may own one.

I have the Henry also and like it a lot. The Rossi is smaller, thinner, lighter and in some ways that could be beneficial, especially hunting or just keeping it in the truck. It's not as refined as the Henry, but it doesn't cost as much either.

Have you considered Henry repeating arms?
I have, and have not ruled that out as an option. The cost difference is the biggest factor. likely won't do much if any hunting with this it will be more of a fun gun. thats not to say it won't ever take a hog or something but not the primary use for it.
