    Glocks, XDs, and M&Ps everywhere.

    Overpriced AKs and Ars galore.

Used garbage pistols at damn near new prices.
I mean beat up, scratched up, gouged slide crap!

Made the mistake of stopping at Cabelas.
If you want to look at guns then be prepared to fight the crowds.

Guns are running out the door there today.
And their prices are better than many of the so-called gun show prices.

Holy bejebus! You're not kidding. We were in Cabelas around 11:30. Spec wanted a range finder and binoculars. I took one look at that line and said "No". Luckily the optics counter was quiet.

That's what he told me on the facebook. It may have been a typo on his end, but Bowie's site isn't working for me, it's showing nothing on pistols

I may pick a few up and sell them on here for $600

This is on their home page. Sounds like a plan, not like anyone checks the Meets section and will see this anyway!

Another member and I had this conversation at the last Lamar Dixon gun show we went to. We walked the whole show several times. I was looking to buy 1K of 45 ACP and asked a vendor the price. He rudely snapped what it was. It was on the high side so I walked. At one point we looked at each other and said almost in unisome "I don't think we are the target customer" for these gun shows. I jokingly asked him if he needed any candles or Chinese stars. Then we parted ways.

I agree I went 6 months ago and thought it was a total waste. They target guys who love cheap knives and ninja stuff it seems. And people who are new to firearms or those who jizz themselves when they see a black tacti-cool rifle with a shitty crapco scope as long as it looks cool and has that "sniper scope". Ammo I saw was more expensive than Academy for sure.

ETA: The only good booths in the whole place were Southland Police Supply and the BS one. :chuckles:

+1 -- well, maybe not a total waste. I didn't bother this time, but last show at L-D I found it interesting to walk around and look at the offerings, saw/handled some guns I'd never seen before, but mainly enjoyed the people watching. Other than my entrance fee and my BS tee, didn't spend a dime.

Basically mean too which is why I didn't even bother this time. I always make the comment to whomever I'm with that these buyers must not have the internet. Prices are way high on guns and ammo. The only deals you will find are people selling their own stuff privately, aka carried around on their shoulders or hip.
