Is there a program out there that will allow me to take a DVD and put it on a USB flash drive or external hard drive so that the DVD can be viewed in Windows Media Player? Thanks

Are you referring to DVD video? And, if so, you are referring to DVD video discs that you OWN, correct?

If so, DVD Decrypter works pretty well on a lot of movies, but some newer stuff with tighter copyright protection won't work. I use that to back up my DVD collection.

EDIT: DVD Decrypter is freeware, too, but some of the pay to use stuff will probably work better on newer discs.

Good luck. Like I said, it has given me trouble with some movies after 2010, but not all. I have been successful in getting some 2011 movies ripped, so it really just depends on the movie and its copy protection.
