It can be, depending upon the specific model.
I'd suppose it comes down to supply and demand at times.

After more research it looks like they batch shipping to the US, so I’ll be waiting till I get a notification from one of the shops I’m on waiting list for.

CZ rifles are well worth the wait in my experience.

Yes CZ and batches is true. You will see multiple retailers have them in stock at once when they come in and then all out of stock when they sell out. I would do one of those in stock reminders from your favorite retailer
