Figure about $600 or a tad under all said and done for a complete upper with standard handguard and M16 bolt carrier group, built to your liking with top notch parts. That's hard to beat.

When comparing to other uppers/barrels, keep in mind the DD barrels are cold hammer forged. Also, DD offers a variety of gas lengths and profiles. Midlength pencil barrel is my personal favorite.

BCM, Daniel Defense, Spikes and LMT are all good choices. Charging handles are all about equal unless you want to upgrade then I'd recommend the BCM Gunfighter.

Nice. I actually wish I would've waited for the DD barrels to come out before I got my upper. I got impatient and ordered the BCM and then the DD stuff came out a week later.

which is better bcm or dd? my brother has lmt upper on his spikes lower as a pistol i keep thinking about building a sbr for myself and just let him have his on ar

i picked up a bcm charging handle at the Laf. gun show and i am happy with it.
