I was reading about this yesterday, and was amazed.

Then a friend who works on such projects said "Yea, that's the highest tech surveillance device that's /been unclassified/" and it made me a bit sad/proud.

Proud that we can make stuff like that, and stuff even /better/ than that.
Scared that it may be turned against Americans in the domestic 'drone war'

Overall, the technological hurdles and logistics is mind boggling for that amount of data.

But yea... I guess it's safe to assume that whenever you hear "This is the best thing out there right now" that it's not... it's just the best thing that's been declassified so far. They probably won't let a mention out regarding what the latest/greatest is.
