Anybody have a suggestion on this? Over the years I've really learned to enjoy trailing deer. It's a challenge and takes practice but is rewarding. I'm now hunting in a spot with a decent amount of water and was thinking of training a dog to help out.

I've seen other folks who have them and seems like no two are the same. I'm thinking great nose and medium are my only two requirements. Looking to get a pup this fall to train with bits of deer from this coming seasons hunting. That way it will be ready for 2015/2016 season.

If you know a guy who knows a guy, etc. pass on the info- whatever. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

That would be appropriate. Honestly I was thinking small lab mix. Don't want to spend alot of money. No hogs where I hunt so far. Need a great nose, medium, loyal, good around kids...a truck dog that can track.
