It only accepts HK SL-8 single stack 10rd mags. However, there are companies that make conversion kits to allow your SL8 to accept AR15 magazines.

This HK has a special "Single Stacked" magazine that was specifically designed for a single and not "staggered" line of bullets in the magazine, as others would have you believe. It CANNOT be loaded with any design of stripper clip either, ALSO outlined in the factory specifications. ANY variation or changes to the weapon or magazine voids the lifetime warranty that HK provides.
