    Original Post Below

I started making an IWB holster so I can carry my 42.

I picked out a nice shade of poo colored piece from the pile.

Then started filling the Glock 42 with wood, because wood is good.

Then wrap it up so you don't get something you don't want (that's what she said).

Then BLAM-O! you have a holster. Well, sort of... I broke my last scroll saw blade, so I'll finish it later today. :hs:

In the mean time, I made a shell for a Sig P320, which will also be completed once I get more blades.

Just dremel cut that sucker if you have to. Just don't breath the fumes from cutting with a dremel(toxic)! The dremel sanding drums do well for tight areas and certain curves when finishing.
Looks like your going soft loop or IWB over hook?

Soft loops on both. The pictures do no justice, but I blocked out the sights with a strip at a 45* angle so that I can add a second loop similar to this:

I'm going to end up getting a 42 drone so I can block it how I want and leave it be for future use. I hate blocking real guns and having to strip all the blocking you spent time on. I thought about using the dremel, but the scroll saw is just too easy lol. It was getting late when I finished the second shell, so I figured I'll just go get the blades and finish them up today.

I never did care for the overhooks. I've always been a fan of the pull-the-dot loops.

gotcha. The pull the dot soft loops are nice(just have to always wear a belt). I don't get very many request for pull the dot loops, but they are solid! I made a few G19 IWB holsters recently for a gentlemen w/double soft loops.

    They came out solid!

Those are what I'm shooting for, except the loop near the slide will be above the slide at a 45* angle like the Morrigan and Eidolon from Raven.

Looks like you got so really good definitions when you pressed them. You can also blue tape the trigger so as not to press too deep into the gaurd.

If you carry with one in the chamber, setting the trigger forward would help avoid any potential as issues.

I have found that the new soft loops are very grippy and can snag a shirt when drawing. Especially if they are flared out a little.

What hard loops do you use?

Where the trigger is when I do the initial press is irrelevant, because I set the retention after it's been pressed. Some trigger guards don't do well when pressed the same as others. I could get a lot more definition with a mold gun, but I didn't want to smash my 42, nor does definition even matter in the fit, only the finish. Personally, I don't care what a holster looks like when it's stuffed in my pants.

    Bro,

I totally need you to come by the office on your way home so you can bend me up some of that pink and purple polka dotted unicorn print kydex for my new duty weapon. I need a IWB for this thing.....

Imagine all the rights I can violate with this thing. I can't wait to polish my jack-boots!!

    Bruh, I gotchoo.

Wow. Not bad. How do they ride? Does having the second loop at that angle on the sight channel help pull the grip in or what?

I'd say theoretically, because it depends on where you plan to carry it.

    3 o'clock to 4 o'clock - YES
12 o'clock to 2 o'clock - NO (unless you add a mechanical "claw" that will force the holster to conform to your belt line)

I like to add a slight angle to the FOMI blocking and the result is it slightly turns the butt of the pistol in towards the body once it is on the belt.

That's a good idea! That's the first I've ever heard of anyone doing that. The only concern I have is adding bulk to a holster that is already potentially bulky. That's why so many have gone to using a mechanical "claw."

Sorry Eddie, I made these few as favors and thank you's to some good people. The rest will be made on my own time and I'll sell/give-away what I don't want to keep.

For those interested in the Sig P320 Holster. Here it is:
