I'm a doctor, and a long-time Baton Rouge boy interested in guns and ammo. I'd like to learn reloading of pistol and rifle ammo, and I'm interested in learning about any rifle or pistol competition for amateurs in the Baton Rouge area.

To start, buy at least one reloading manual, you will find that you will want a few more once you start reloading. Learn with a favorite handgun round. 45acp, 38spl, or 9mm. These are fairly easy to load and learn with.

Drop by Louisiana Reloading and ask when the next reloading class will be held. You will not find better instruction anywhere.
As for matches, we host rifle matches at Palo Alto in Donaldsonville. Our F Class and Field Precision Rifle 600 yard matches are the first and second Saturday of the month.
