Just picked up my new El Paton from Hebert Guns yesterday and we're about to go out for a test shoot. The El Paron is supposed to be hand tuned from the factory, but the action didn't feel as nice to me as my EMF Hartford SAA clones. The old trick of putting a leather washer under the mainspring has improved this a lot. Will be back soon with a range report.

Surprising for a 4¾" fixed-sight revolver, it shoots to point of aim with Magtech Cowboy Loads at 15 yards. The trigger was very heavy at first and suddenly got better when I'd shot all but 3 rounds of my ammo. Apparently, a piece of gunk in the trigger/sear area finally got pushed out of the way. The group in the picture shows the last 5 rounds I had. The 3 in the tight group were the ones fired after the trigger settled to an acceptable pull.elpatron.jpg
