I have been holding onto a Norinco NDM-86 chambered in 7.62x54R for my cousin for a few years now and I am interested in purchasing it from him. Does anyone know what is the going price for one of these rifles? It has the matching serial# scope with case and one 10rnd mag. Gun is in excellent condition with probably less than 200 rounds fired through it. I think he originally paid $2300 for it in the late 90's. I haven't been able to find too much information on the value of these rifles.

If you can get it for the $2300 he paid for it you would have a good deal. I believe they are going for $3500 or better.

yeah I am hoping to pay him less than $2500. He said he would cut me a deal since i have been holding onto it for him for quite some time due to him moving around quite a bit over the last few years. I definitely don't want to over pay but will be heart broken to have to part with it. It really is amazing how much these rifles have appreciated in value.

I have been collecting norincos for over 20 years, but have never purchased an NDM model.I just could never justify letting go of $2500 cash from my greasy paw:(

I would love to see pics of it.

I found an auction from about 2 weeks ago that some one had for sale. http://www.rockislandauction.com/viewitem/aid/52/lid/3647
And it was a 7.69x.51 ,so I'm assuming the .54 is even more sought after these days.

If you can get him under $2500.You need to throw the money at him ,grab the rifle and run away very fast lol

Tell me about it. The Norinco quality is nothing to brag about. If these rifles were still importable you could probably pick one up for less than $1k. The varnish job on the front end is surprisingly nice though.

If i can get around to it I will snap a few pics of the rifle.
