Are there any restrictions to the type of AR that can be used for F-class. I have a Bushmaster flat top with tubular fore end and floated barrel, is this legal for F T/R class?

To the first part- It has to be .223 or .308 unmodified (no wildcat cartridges)

To the second part- Your Bushmaster will work, but accuracy will be dependent upon it's barrel length. Carbine length can reach, but are not nearly as accurate as say a 20" or 24" barrel on an AR.

    I have a 20 " barrel, but it's stock fluted H-Bar, not a match grade barrel.

Twist is 1:9 unfortunately. Are birdcage style flash hiders OK? Or Vortex. The gun currently wears a Vandenburg, but legal or not, the other shooters would be very dismayed as it has a horrific side blast! Luckily it is easily removed.

Put a bird cage on it and just go shoot it. You don't need to shoot 80s to have fun and learn how to shoot the match. I've got some 1/9s that shoot 69 and 77s just fine, which you can compete with. After you shoot some matches, you may want to go to more, but you can play the game with what ya got.
