Feds buy $50 mil Texas Resort

So instead of spending money to close up the holes in the border or beefing up border security, the Feds are buying a $50 mil Texas resort to house these illegal children. This is sick and wasteful spending.

The Obama administration has awarded a $50 million contract to a charitable group to buy a Texas resort hotel and transform it in to a 600 bed facility for juvenile illegal aliens.

I don't doubt the Gov did not give them 50 mil, but did this organization not say they were bidding this for the premise of hosting the unaccompanied illegal immigrants?

Not really. Tom posted a link calling the whole thing a big lie.

The link you posted verifies that the BFCS
did indeed have plans to aquire the facility
with the intent on housing unaccompanied immigrant kids.

I'm not really concerned about the $numbers$ but the fact that the deal was in place to begin with.

I just don't agree that housing illegal immigrants will help the current CRISIS
were facing.

I'm not sure that I believe any of the story or the link stating its false is what i should have posted...

I don't doubt the fact of the government trying to fund "charities" to assist the well being of these illegal aliens crossing the border.
I don't doubt the fact of an offer being $50 million for 600 bed facility.
But then it seems like the Baptist charity withdraw this deal over some controversy.


I do feel there some truth to the story for this story to get brought to light and exploited.
It's disturbing to see all the efforts taking place to welcome, shuttle, and house these illegal children that are now coming over in droves.

And yet no one in the White House makes any effort to bring home the Sgt. in jail in Mexico...
