Yeah, just seen you cruising again a few minutes ago. Earmuffs are for the tire growl?

My 53" Michelin tires don't make much noise at all (if any).

The exhaust stack on the passenger front fender comes right out of the turbo with no muffler.
    Stock w/out muffler
    -idle = 93 dB
-At highway speed = 103 dB

    With a straight stack muffler
    -idle = 82 dB
-At highway speed = 96 dB

How's the gearing with the 53s? I've heard they're a dog with that much tire.

I've adjusted my injection pump (turned the fuel up) and I think it's actually faster now than it was stock. The larger tires did raise my top speed (now theoretically 79.4 mph at 2600 rpm in 5th). I'm happy to cruise around at 55 mph at 1800 rpm. I kill less baby seals that way. :D

I only shift the transfer case into low gear when I'm crawling in a parking lot or exiting my driveway (warm-up). Otherwise I can let the clutch out in 1st high to get the rubber rolling. No issues for me.

Not quite sure what the hooping and hollering while you were turning off Jefferson onto 42. But man that is a sweet rig and looks like a blast to drive.
