Fire at Motiva in Convent

Sunshine Bridge is closed in both directions, APSO saying Hwy 70 is a cluster. Avoid the area if you can.

St. James Parish President Timmy Roussel says the fire is contained, and is located near the plant's "heavy oil unit."

From what I've been told so far, there are no known injuries.

Spoke to an employee there and said no injuries and the only folks remaining are the fire squads...Thank God for that!!

Only reason no one was killed was because everyone rained out. The people who were there were hiding inside tents and other structures outside the unit.
