    This is a blade I forged almost 2 years ago that has been sitting. I lost my pocket knife and thought well it is about time to get on this one. This is what I ended up with.

    Its 1084 steel with the forged scale left on. Copper spacer and stabalized redwood burl (looks brown in pics)

    Looking good man. Did you temper/ anneal it? Last time I quenched a 1084 tool it was so brittle I could have banged it on my quench bucket and broke it in half lol.

    Yeah tempered it and it tested at 58 rc. I know what you mean on brittle. People laugh when I tell them it is like glass till they see one snap clean like glass.

    Finished the sheath today. Decided not to stamp any pattern or anythign and keep it simple. Mahogany colored stain and a beige waxed thread. Made the curve on the top match the curve on the butt of the knife to flow well and thats about it. Sides are nicely burnished too.
