G18 is a fun toy. They're not nearly as wild and uncontrollable as people seem to believe. The cyclic rate is up there, but this is a little faster. :)

    Baton Rouge... Mostly
I thought I heard there were a tiny handful of pre-86 G18's out there. To the tune of nearly 100k per, IIRC.

Word-of-mouth rumor-- could be totally inaccurate.

Heard it, Heard that there was some PD in N or S Dakota with several of them (Fully Transferable) which they wouldn't sell due to liability concerns.

    Nothing solid I've ever seen.

Not true. There are 0 fully transferable factory G18's for civilian consumption.

    Why? Very simple.

GCA of 1968=Banned importation of foreign made NFA for civilians.

1986 ban=Banned manufacture of new MG's for civilians.

Now, there may be very few 17's that were converted and registered prior to the 86 ban. That is a possibility.

Hmm, I wonder how others would think of a Glock 18 has a duty gun.

what I have found with mine is that with 147 grn bullet's , it's pretty damn controllable @ around 15 yrds or so . Short bursts stay on target . 3's better then one ;)
