I'm not so much interested in the certificate (I mean, who DOESN'T have one at this point), but would like to take the course for the educational benefit as well as the discount on parts and guns.

According to the Glock Training site, there's only one class listed in Zachary, LA and it shows as "Full". Does anyone know of any other upcoming dates, or any way I could sneak into the class? :D

Any other relevant comments, suggestions, etc regarding the course are welcome as well.

Just go to Texas, they have one more frequent than us. I have been looking into one myself but seems that my schedulle is winning this one

You could also try to set something up yourself and get some guys together, Host a Class and you get 3 seats IIRC, but they require to have decent size classroom

I would offer my classroom but with "worktables" we can only get about 12 people in there before it gets pretty uncomfortable for everybody

Another idea would be to talk to your local indoor shooting range, they usually have a classroom facility and being the range is just next door it would be a no brainer, they would sell you the range service as well as rental of the classroom, it would be a win-win for them as well as the people who attend. There is somebody that is a member here who works at Barneys in Carencro, they might be interested in doing it never know ..........

Not sure I know last time when I looked into it to see if my "classroom" would qualify the lady asked me about the range use and layout.

Could be a standard procedure or just for future reference kinna thing

Thanks Pab, I'll call tomorrow and get the scoop. They'll be in the area at the end of August with a couple empty days, I'd love to try to sneak a date in there.

For anyone interested, to take the course you must be "an active law enforcement or military officer, private security, GLOCK Stocking Dealer/Range Program Employee or current GSSF member."

I took it up in Monroe in april, we had an extra person show up that wasnt scheduled and they just took his paperwork and continued on.
The hosting agency catered food, don't know if they were required to.

The rep also said they were backordered (in April at least) and weapons ordered from the factory would take longer.
