Gomez opened my eyes to this stuff, and now there is not a moment of my day that at least a basic trauma kit isn't within 10 feet of me. It's not as "cool" or "fun" as firearms training. But it's equally, if not more important. Do what you can, whether it's attending training or even just watching Youtube videos. Anything is better than nothing!

After watching you realize that you may need to brush up on your first aid there are still a few openings in the class on May 26th.

More great training advice from "the training bum". I plan on sharing this and others in the Training section of the LOCAL forum as well as the Facebook page.

I'll be at the class on Sunday in Arabi and I can bring my Trauma kit to show everyone what I carry. But it's not all about the kit. It's about mindset and continuous training. Great vid.

That would be great, I have very little first aid training but that is something I plan to remedy soon.

    From John Farnam's email:

    4 June 12

I liked Paul Gomez the instant I met him!

Extremely knowledgeable in our Art, and extremely willing to share
everything he knew. I spent time with Paul at the NTI and a number of other
venues. He was a genuinely good person, and, when he talked, I listened!

Paul died Sunday, in Seattle, apparently from complications with his
diabetes. I didn't even know he had diabetes!

Paul was just shy of his 41st birthday. Every practitioner of our Art has
lost a great colleague, martial artist, and fellow Operator. I will miss
    him!

Rest in peace, Partner. Rest in peace.

    /John
