Many of us love our Class III NFA items. I started thinking about what I would like to have. One of those, "if you could have whatever you wanted" lines of thoughts. This lead me to ask "What would you choose?"

So, if money is no option and we are dreaming up our desired cans to gun ratios:

    1) What would you choose?

    2) Which Can to Gun pairing would you go with?

    3) What scenario or collection would you like to have?

If you are fortunate to already have your Dream Team, then pictures and rationale welcome!

#3 Is for those that have a mindset behind what they purchase. Some might have a scenario (SHTF/Hunting/etc.) that they purchase around.

H&K MP5 with a Knights Armament suppressor. I had the opportunity to shoot one and loved it

    Would also like a FA trigger pack in a SBRed 10/22 takedown with my specter 2 on it;
Salvo 12, Maxim 9 and a 9mm integrally suppressor Tavor, and the real 9mm FA version of my .22, (H&K MP5k pdw)

    1. .22lr can because it is as close to "Hollywood Quiet" as you're going to get.

    2. Pistol Suppressor in .45 caliber so you can shoot 45 / 40 / 9mm out of it. If you look at the decibel ratings a 45 does everything a 9 will do an allow you to shoot all 3 "normal" pistol calibers. I like the Osprey so that you can use the sights but an round can such as an Octane can fit under the hand guard of some AR forearms and double for use with 300 BLK subsonic. However I do not like a screw on for a semiauto rifle.

    3. A QD with a locking feature such as an AAC for use in a semi-auto rifle platform so you do not have to worry about it unscrewing and having a baffle strike.

    4. A direct thread 30 cal for use in a precision rifle / hunting rifle application. Again you can use it for 30cal, 7mm, 6.5mm, 6mm, .223 ect.

    5. A 12ga Salvo if you want to round out the collection.

Sorry, but I deleted my post here. It revealed too much about me and my equipment.

22lr is the **** for the quiteness aspect. I love my 45 octanes versatility. And cannot wait for my omega to be here to mate up with my scar 16 and my sbr ar. On centerfire semiauto try to opt for an adjustable gas system when applying a can.

I do like to be well rounded! I'd love to get an Osprey 45 and Omega 9K for the future wife. ...Maybe I'll get to play with it too.

I am pretty turned on by an integrally suppressed bolt action 22lr. This one would do fine:

That looks good! I'd love to get a Ruger 10/22 Takedown integrally suppressed.

DTA SRS A1 7mmWSM, with a can just for it. One of their's or another Omega, or TB Ultra 7/9. Something to sling 180vlds or 195eol bergers to a mile or so.

I get a little confused on the bigger calibers, as to which go through which can. I understand a 30 caliber can will shoot an assortment down range. ...But, which assortment? Where does 30x30, 30.06, 7mm Mag and .08, 22-250, 6.5 Grendel and Creedmore, 243 etc etc.?

Yes anything SMALLER than a 30 caliber bullet. The decimal equivalent in inches is as follows: 30 cal = 0.308", 7mm = 0.284", 270 = 0.277", 6.5mm = 0.264", 6mm = 0.243", .223Rem = 0.224". ALL OF THOSE will pass though a "30 Caliber" suppressor. Stay away from 8mm, .338, .50 caliber ect and your good. Just make sure the can is rated for a Magnum caliber if you intend to shoot a Magnum cartridge through it as the pressure rating of the can may not meet the criteria.

Basically get a 30 Cal Magnum rated can and fire away.

Wanted to come in. Yep, 308 and below, but some 308 cans won't handle 30-06 or even 270. Some will so check with mfg.
