So on April 5 I filed my taxes electronically. I was told April 15 I'd have my refund money. Then may28. I just. Got off the phone with the IRS and lady told me, average wait time for electronically filing is 6-10 weeks. Wtf. I could have went to h&r block for this ****. Are they letting my money build interest before they give it to me or something?! Or is the govt really slacking more than usual?

I think 6-10 weeks was the average wait time for mailed-in returns.

I'm surprised, they're usually fairly quick about it. At least quicker than you said.

Then again, I don't know what this "refund" thing you talk about is.
