    Appreciate hospitality!!!

Also based out of Metairie LA. Own fair share of pistols/shotguns/rifles etc. truly love teaching my 10yo son to shoot!!

Also wondering if anyone knows someone with more info on the old Russian “Spam Cans” 7.62/39. From what I’ve researched I can tell the date of manufacturing/packaging ‘94/‘95 but cannot find any info on actual country of origin. As research I’ve done they were manufactured in multiple Eastern European countries. One I have is not Chinese originated.
Just curious if the lettering on the can will dictate country of origin.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

I dont think you did anything wrong, i was just stating i quickly googled Russian spam can ammo id and this was one of the sites that came up. Was hoping to help answer your question. Wasnt meant as an insult. But thats how the internet works, people read the same sentence in three different ways, they can eventually take it the wrong way. Sorry i couldnt help you out though. Maybe post a picture in one of the threads of your Spam Can if you’re able to.

Yup you’re right Matt, I did interrupt it wrong my apologies. Threads are like texts the context can be taken differently.

See pic. Know it was manufactured in ‘94/‘95 as per numbers under fraction.
But also see certain companies are producing new spam cans….

К — завод No98, Казанский пороховой завод —Kazanskiy porokhovoy zavodKazan powder factory. Or, К might indicate the Perm factory, which was named for С. М. Кирова (that is, S. M. Kirova) while С may mean the Kazan factory.

K - looks like your powder factory code.

Im getting this info from this site i also realize they are referencing 7.62x54r but just like the US the Russians wouldn't reinvent the naming conventions used on their ammo cans. Lot #’s, Date of manufacture, Factory code, Powder factory code, should relatively be the same, if not located in a different style on the Can. To my knowledge.
