Just moved to Louisiana from New Mexico. First time in the state. Where are all the mosquitoes? I have been a black powder shooter since I built my first gun. It's a .69 flint pistol like a handgun version of the Brown Bess musket. I still have it and shoot it once in a while, along with a .45 Colonial pistol that I also built from a kit. My main shooter for hunting and target is a .58 Hawken Big Boar by CVA. I like it because it's fairly correct-looking historically, eg. two barrel pins and pewter forend cap. Also, no patchbox. I'm looking for places to shoot, of course and rendezvous to attend. Thanks. Good to be here.
