help with 25-06 varmint/target rifle build on a budget

I have non inletted stock i plan to use, and a scope and rings. I'm having trouble tracking down a good barrelled action. preferably a 24-26" big fat heavy barrel, but that can be compromised. trying to keep it under 500 bux. any links to trusted sights would be much appreciated.

Find you a cheap savage action. Then buy a pre fit barrel from mcgowen/shilen/etc. If you are in BR I will let you use my wrench to take the stock barrel nut off.

Check pawn shops. I found a savage with accutrigger for 225
