I really like the rugged suppressors Surge 7.62. Just got a demo model in a few weeks ago. It's lighter than most comparable cans. It's modular so it's almost like having 2 cans in one. You can change the front caps to 5.56 just like the saker/Omega. It's an all stellite baffle stack and the mount is rock solid probably the best I have seen. It's also super quiet and has less blowback than some of the other cans I have played with.

I am ready to buy my first can. The host will be a 11.5 sbr. I was wanting it to be short, light, quality mount and quite as possible. I had been looking at sico k series, griffin armament recce 5 mod3, surefire socom556 rc2 and today I had a sandman s in hand as well. I looking for advice and advise . Thanks

I would check the specs on the cans you want. You have to be very aware of barrel length restrictions. You would be fine for a 11.5 5.56 but be aware that for 7.62 it will only handle a min length of 16". I was looking at the Omega when I bought mine but seeing as I have a 6.8 I would not have been able to SBR it if I wanted too as the barrel length would have to have been 16" so I went with the Saker as it could handle an SBR 6.8 barrel. Not saying that Omega is a bad buy but be aware of the limitations of any silencer you buy especially the barrel length restrictions. You will probably have to dig for them or call manufacturers as they are not always easy to find online. I also went 7.62 caliber so that I could swap hosts without between 6.8 and 5.56 and I can go up to 7.62 if I choose to.
