    Hello all!
Just moved to Louisiana in Baton Rouge. I have yet to build connections with anyone who would allow me to hunt their land for varmit species.
In Texas, I am able to just introduce myself and talk to local rancers and get a predator hunt in easy. Coyotes are real bad and they want them gone.
I have never hunted public land and I called in and learned that Hog/Coyote hunting has to be done within the regular season and all summer options wont work. This is a shame because I only live in Louisiana while I am not in college.

I live in Baton Rouge but have no problem driving. I use to wake up at 3 AM and drive a couple of hours just to get some coyotes only to come back home that night.

Looking for anyone with varmit problems that wouldn't mind somebody lending a hand or if anyone has suggestions on where I can find a place. I have a friend who is coming into town that graduated from the military academy with me and I would love to take him hunting.

If it comes down to it I might just end up squirrel hunting till the season runs out and I will have to call it quits till I find a place.

    Thank you all.

You might have to get in a hunting club to find land to hunt on nearby. You might check out and see if Sherborne is open for the rat season and you could bring a 17 HMR or 22 magnum and try and call in some coyotes there also while the season is open. You might look at the other nearby WMAs also and see if they are open also.
