So, I'm an outsider (MS) wanting to come over into your territory ;) . My friends want me to come hunt with them. My questions is how much/where can I find the price for the out of state LA hunting license, laws, and where are good places to hunt?

Yep, it's called reciprocity. Big word for... In this case: screw us, and get screwed back. This all started back when more Louisiana hunters went to Ms. than Ms. went to La. The cost for a La. hunter in Ms. cost waaayyy more that what Ms. was charging other out of state hunters and "reciprocity" was the result. Amazing how a bunch of grown ups can be so childish. Anyway, if you make it to La. to hunt, welcome and enjoy. There are great opportunities here. Take care...

I was always told it was because LA charged so much for non-resident fishing licenses.

Yeah, now Alabama charges LA residents like $90 for fishing license when they charge all other states a fraction of that.

Why would you want to go that far and pay that much when the best fishing on the Gulf is in Louisiana?:D

I have a friend that goes to St Francsville alot.

Also, does anyone know the info (location/time/cost) of a Louisiana Hunter's Safety Instructor's course? A friend of mine is actually considering opening a range and I'd help staff it.
