    Is is durable?

    Shiny?

    Does it last?

Does the gun need to be a certain base color before dipping? I am looking at the grey/black Kryptek Typhon design.

Does it need to be sealed with a matte (dull clear) over coat after dipping?

Hydro dipping actually isn't very durable at all. It comes off just like spray paint would. You can, however, use clear Cerakote on top of the hydro dip and it will be pretty durable. If you use the glossy cerakote it will be shiny or you can choose the matte option. Hope that helps

As mentioned, hydro graphics are not very durable at all, unless you use a sealer. The sealer would then be the durable finish.

For some hydro graphics, the parts need to be certain colors, depending on the desired finish.

Your best bet is to contact a hydro graphics company and let them explain the process.

My friend does hydro dipping, you may want to give them a call, they are local. Undercover coatings is the name of the business and they are in Chalmette

Don't go the hydro dip route...it offers no viable protection and just sucks in general. Find another coating option that suites your needs.
