Plenty of snakes deserve to live. Including my Kingsnake.

Lol, I don't know how he does it, But he will leave the entire fur from a marsh rat on the deck minus the head and no body. Just a empty fur ball.

They are some talented critters, indeed. Got a few of them that stay on our property...Interesting to watch how they operate, up close. Stealthy.

very poor picture, could be the shadow, but the head looks diamond shaped, could be a cottonmouth. Check for fangs. If not then banded water snake.

Ditto. Sure looks like a lil' old cottonmouth.
