Iberia Parish Sheriff's Department Range

I've never been to an our door range. I read that the public can go to the NI Sheriff's Department range on Wed and Saturday. Are there officials their that man the range? What kind of targets should I bring (paper only, or do I need a stand ect?)

The range is closed for at least a week due to berm rebuilding. Normally open Wednesday afternoons from 12 until 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Two pistol bays with target backers/holders and one has steel targets. The rifle portion goes to 150 yds.

Bring paper targets. Check in at the office. Sheriff's range personnel on duty and will provide safety orientation for first-timers. Sign in required.

Eye protection is required. I'm pretty sure ear protection maybe, also.
A staple gun is usually supplied, but it's not a bad idea to bring your own.

Depending on where you live, Franklin has an wasome range thats open monday through friday 9 to 4.

There is also the option of going to the Lafayette Sheriff range if you are located between the 2 like I am.

Yes my Uncle went last week. Although he asks you to start picking up around 3-3:30.
