My wife has a new friend.

It showed up at the front door and now the wife and the mcnugget sit on couch watching TV together.

Can anyone tell me what kind it is?

I asked my sister who has about 15 hens of various types, she had no idea lol. She said it looks like a young female though. Keep it around and get a few eggs in a couple months.

    French Black Copper Maran?

Exotic chickens Frenc Black Copper Maran

This is one of the rarest breeds of exotic chickens in the United States and it has become very popular because of the price that the eggs fetch.

These dark brown (almost chocolate) eggs can bring from $40 to up to $200 for a half dozen. There are a few breeders of these beautiful birds here in Georgia and they all agree that these unique birds are both beautiful and profitable.
