Why do I want a non-resident permit? There is one state I enjoy traveling to (NM) that doesn't honor an LA permit. They do, however honor TX and FL, both of whom offer NR permits. Is there an instructor in the BR/DH area who is approved by these states?

It's too late to help me with my upcoming trip this month, but I will be going again in the future and would like to be able to CC there-even though NM is a "Gold Star" open carry state, I'll often be in company where that would start tiresome conversations.

If you have taken a LA class, then you can use that same certificate for FL. I think TX does things differently and you would probably have to go there to take a class.
