IPSD range now open to the public on Sundays from 12 noon to 3 or 4 pm (to be determined by demand).
This is, of course, in addition to Wednesdays 12n-4p and Saturdays 8a-1p.
    For newbies:
8 position covered rifle line to 150 yds (100 yds without special holders)
14 position handgun line from 2 to 25 yds with steel (15 yd minimum when shooting steel) and 2 or 3 paper slots
14 position handgun line from 2 to 25 yds with all paper slots

    Bring:
Gun(s); ammo; eye and ear protection (if you forget we'll loan but don't count on availability); target and stapler (if shooting paper).

    Other stuff:
    No 44 mag/50's on steel
No long guns on handgun lines (can make exception for 22/9/40/45 carbines)
Sitting position on rifle line (can make exception depending upon impact point and range usage)
Sign in at range office EACH trip (both sides of sheet)
Steel varies. Right now it's 3 plate racks, 3 poppers, 2 dueling trees, a flipper and 2 tom longs plus anything you want to donate, if approved.

Good deal on the new hours...it was wall-to-wall shooters in the pistol bays last Saturday.

To clarify: no more tactical shotgun in the pistol bays??

Yeah - just use a shot-up target backer instead of a good one or shoot steel with other than slugs/buck.

(If it was that crowded Saturday the RO's might have been nervous about a shotgun for some reason? I dunno.

Never had or seen any issues with shotguns...just wanted to clarify 'cause of the "no long gun" thingee.

Back when the range had six poppers I got plenty of practice in working an 870 pretty quick. :naughty:
