I was just given an Ishapor 7.62mm 2A1 1967 rifle but its missing some parts and I am wondering if anyone might be able to tell me where to get them or I may just sell the rifle off and let someone restore it. Its missing the magazine and barrel bands on the stock and the front part of the stock where it goes over the muzzle(not sure what that is called).
It looks to be in serviceable condition with grimy stock and forend but everything works. It may be missing the ejector(which I think is a screw?). Any help would be appreciated or maybe you might be interested in acquiring it. I wouldn't mind trading it for a Nagant revolver.
Anyways, thanks in advance and let me know if your interested and send me an email to hunter5567@yahoo.com and I can send pics of it.

If the missing part at the front is the metal part with the sight protector, it's called the nose cap. Most offten they run about $12 to $15.
The Magazine is another story. They will run you about $40.

Sorry I have taken so long to reply, been a little bussy.
Springfield Sporters Inc. is a good place to start looking for parts.

In the last few years the 2A and 2A1s have gone up in collector value. In 2008 you could pick one up between $100 and $150. Now days they go for $200 to $300.
A sporterized one, if done good, will only bring about $175.
Here is the info you need about the ammo.

There are a few conversions out there, but if your rifle is in fact a genuine Ishapore 2A, it was originally manufactured as a 7.62x51 and if your 2A is sound it's safe to shoot with .308, but I'd be leery of Hornady Light Magnum, or Superformance. If I had one, I'd feed it handloads or occasional Prvi Partizan or Rem UMC.
