If you live in Jefferson Parish, have you received your 2012 Property Tax Notice? I have not and I was wanting to know if they have been mailed.

I haven't gotten mine yet. I have two houses. One in St. Bernard and one in Metairie. Been having the St. Bernard bill never got the JP bill yet.

I just checked and they are available. Maybe just late in mailing them. You can pay online here:

but they charge 2.49% convenience fee for CC payment.

I got mine this past week and Kenner wants their own separate property tax. Just bought this house about 8 months ago and its my first house the joys of being a home owner I suppose. I wish they had a book of all the secrets and such that I will eventually have to learn in the mean time any information is always welcome so I can avoid learning things the hard way. Escrow to the rescue though...

I have had it both ways in the past.

I escrow the insurance but pay the property tax.
