Nice you always find really cool knife makers!

There was a certain amount of serendipity involved with the first one. I saw some of his work and went to his website. I emailed him that I was interested in one of his knives and told him the ones on his site that I wanted one like.

He replied that he had a blade almost done along my lines and he some desert ironwood he could put on it, the only question being which bolsters. I told him and had the blade the next week.

September is six months for my next one. I'm cogitating on what I want. He suggested his Bowie blade ~3.5" with ebony scales.

I have carried an Emerson Commander since I got it in 2002. Best knife I've ever owned. It's been all over Europe, Middle East, and South America on my deployments and over 1,300 flight hours in the Navy SH-60B Seahawk. The wife then surpised me this year for Father's Day with the Wilson Combat ELC which is below in the picture. Now I just alternate between the two of them. Love it, hopefully it will hold up as well as my Commander, it seems to be a real good knife. Next one will be the Spyderco from here once they are available.
