Lens cap stretch strings

I just aquired a used, but in good condition .22 rifle with a fairly decent scope on it but the stretchy strings that hold the lens caps are all worn out. Is it possible to get some sort of replacement stretch strings?

sure. Stop in 'The Backpacker' in Lafayette or BR. I'm sure they sell accessory bungee cord in with their climbing rope selections.

Grandpa,

West Marine also sells different sized bungee cord by the foot. Replaced some awhile back on some caps and got the small cord from there!

Yup, even Academy carries them. Even though scopes may have the same objective size, the OD of the housing will vary between manufactures and scope models so I'd bring the scope into wherever you plan on purchasing the caps from to make sure you get a size that fits well. Lafayette Shooters is the only store that I'm familiar with around there that would be the easiest to carry the whole rifle in to test fit caps on the scope if need be.

you might just want to check a Hobby Lobby or JoAnn Fabrics. Both should have elastic cords.
