Puglia's Sporting goods in Metairie had a decent amount of both, Blazer brass fmj 50 count $18.99 and
Hornady XTP JHP 147gr $22.99 per box of 25 today. I had been playing around trying to catch Wal-Mart or Academy in stock for a couple of weeks.

Which after tax is approximately $20.80 for 50 rounds 9mm range ammunition and approximately $50.35 for 50 rounds of 9mm defensive ammunition.
I can understand why they had plenty on the shelf.

Cabellas has tons in the store in Gonzales- I was there last Saturday - doesn't look like anyone is hoarding anymore, Academy in Harahan had plenty last week. They had several types from FMJ to the high end HP self-protection +P type 25 per box. Bought some 223WSSM instead as 9mm is plentiful over there.

Academy in Harahan - Has Monarch steel 9mm for $10.99. I went Friday, and in the ammo section there it was - no limit!
Still can't beat Freedom Munitions.com now.

I found couple boxes of WWB 100 rds at Academy in Hammond for $26 a box. First time in a while I'd seen 9mm there or else it's just already been cleaned out by my lunch break, lol
