Can anyone recommend a decent punch set. I am a beginner at breaking some of my weapons down and have realized without a punch set it makes it hard. I am looking for a decent one just not rediciously priced.

    Thanks

    This is a roll pin:

Notice how the steel is rolled and not completely solid. You can usually see light through the channel in a roll pin.

Mostly found on Sig Sauers, revolver sight pins, etc. Used where a very tight fit is needed that will not move under stress.

    This is a standard pin:

Notice how it is solid. The majority of pins used in guns fall into this category.

yep, i got a roll pin punch set at sears also. Works great, and i believe the price was similar to the one from brownells. They also have nice regular punch sets too.

I bought a set at Wal-Mart when I first started taking a couple of my pistols down then noticed I was only using 1 of them so I just ordered a 7/32 punch on eBay and that's all I've ever seem to need now. Less clutter for my cleaning kit too lol.
