I've contacted a few locally gunsmiths and shops to thread the barrel on my marlin 1894 without any luck. Anyone have any suggestions? I contacted Wild West Guns out of Las Vegas, but they want an arm and a leg..

I guess I need to start offering my services, I usually have a 3 day turn around on threading barrels and such and I have done probably 1000 at this point and put suppressors on them all so I know they are good and straight. =P

Well darn emgunslinger. I just sent a few more jobs towards morgan at class3machining again. Whats your contact information and a general pricing for barrel threading, thread protectors, bolt handle threading, etc and I will start sending some folks your way.

$100 for threading with standard thread protector
$110 for bolt handles, I supply the bolt handle (Badger/EGW)
$120 for threading with profiled thread protector
$200 for threading on octagon barrel with profiled octagon thread protector
    $80 for just threading

I don't care normally if the gun is stripped or not but its always nice if people just bring me barrels!

That's a cut down, crown, and thread. I blue the threads and all as well.
