Appears to be the same inspector mark and everything. Much older, and more valuable than a Vietnam era pistol and appears to be in fantastic condition.
May have been issued in Vietnam, also Korea and probably WW2, too. Slide and frame are Remington Rand, as you can see, and as another already pointed out it was made in 1943. Pictures aren't great so can't tell if it went through rebuild, and if so where. Finish looks honest, as do the grips and obvious small parts, so it may not have been through a rebuild, but really can't tell.
Pics looks like it's a Remington rand 43-44 wwII ERA. I had one a while back that I sold to a collector. Mine had the original belt and holster with it. Holster had US stamped in leather and stamped on belt. You need to check on slide and frame to see where it was made. If you see Singer on it any where you have some serious money. These were made by the singer sewing machine people. They r very rare and worth a ton of money.
Sold mine 3 years ago with belt and holster all original no work was done to it or a rebuild in very good condition and it fired flawlessly. Sold for 2500. If you have that singer made pistol who knows how much it's worth. Last one I heard sold for 250,000. That's what I was told not coming from my eyes.
