I purchased this retail just because I liked the look. I call it "Grandpa's squirrel and rabbit gun" because it looks like something you'd find behind the door of your grandparent's house in the country. I think it's in very good shape for its age. The bluing is still nice but does show a few spots where surface rust has tried to grow. I stopped that with some Barricade and have since kept it in my safe with the Goldenrod and desiccant dehumidifier. This rifle has "AK" stamped on the barrel which should date it to January 1967 according to my research. This is before the 1968 Gun Control Act required firearms to have serial numbers and this one does not have one. I have shot this rifle and tested it for function and safety. I also gave it a thorough cleaning and lube when I got it so it's ready to go.
