Anyone know what Matrix testing is all about? I work for a governmental agency and was told that before I would be allowed to carry concealed at the office, I would first have to pass a Matrix test. I think it is some sort of psycological test?? Anyone ever took that and if so, what all is involved?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

The Matrix and a Polygraph are commonly taken by local LEO applicants.

Just a phych test to make sure you're not crazy and how you are likely to react to a variety of high stress situations. no biggy, but very boring.

It's 13 questions asked different ways for a grand total of like 800 questions. Then they take your results and compare them to those results of a percentile of LEO's who have succeeded in law enforcement and who have been failures. Its not a pass fail with a grade, it's more or less a "his/her score is consistent with that of a proven good officer or bad officer". I want to say they compare it against 1000 other scores. Super easy but quite pointless. Answer with the first thing thT comes to mind and you'll ve straight.
