NPR went to full coverage mode the afternoon of the shootings, cancelling all other programming (even the BBC news) and milked it for all it was worth over the next week with gun control issues and liberal hand wringing.
They also stated it was a "Bushmaster Assualt Rifle" that is used by snipers in the US military.
