Murderer escaped in St. Martinville...

A murderer in St. Martin Parish Jail in St. Martinville (MY HOMETOWN) has escaped!!! This is happening less than a mile from my parents home. They are both armed and locked inside their home and watching for this escapee.

He pushed a correctional officer off the roof of the jail in order to escape. Now, the roof is about 2 or 3 stories high; I've been in that building many times. I really would like to know how in the world that correctional officer got away with moderate injuries.

The entire roof is surrounded by a fence with razor wire atop it. How they got around that fence is beyond me. I'm anxious to find out about that one.

Update: the correctional officer was NOT pushed off roof as previously reported. He was merely pushed down and fell to floor of rec yard. Two escapees did jump from roof. One landed with severe injuries and had to be airlifted to a hospital. The other, who is an accused murderer is still at large.

POS needs to be killed off. First he killed his ex girlfriend and was on the loose. While he was on the loose he broke into peoples houses not far from my sisters. Now this!

I believe there are check points on EVERY entry and exit of st. Martinville. Hwy 31 (both ends), hwy 96 (both ends), cemetery hwy. Hwy 92. If there's more post them

Yes he is presummed to be going towards Che Hope Facility, where his "current" GF is being housed, last conversation they had he said he was going to kill her just like he did with his ex wife.

The entire town has check points all the way out to broussard, be prepared to get your vehicle searched including the trunk.

Suspect is very dangerous, WATCH OUT.

THe other one did indeed broke his ankles/legs when he jumped off, the Deputy that was pushed is OK with minor scrapes and bruises.

I don't get this. If he jumped they should have left his behind right there until he could get up and walk to the hospital.
